Remitter should obtain all required bank information from the Beneficiary, such as SWIFT BIC, BSB number, account number, and beneficiary bank address. The 6-digit Bank State Branch (BSB) number must be included in the ordering and beneficiary details. SWIFT BICs are either 8 or 11 alphanumeric characters: xxxxAUxx or xxxxAUxxxxx. Banks are obligated to report international funds transfers to or from Australia to AUSTRAC.
